What happens to the images?
All images are converted to standard formats (PNG or JPEG). Large images are reduced to a maximum size of 800x600. This is done to keep bandwidth and storage costs down, as well as for ease of browsing. We will try to retain your original image file for our archives, though, so higher-resolution scans are always appreciated.
What's the best resolution to use?
Any high-resolution image is fine. We like to have source images at approximately 300dpi for possible print use. If you need your illustration to look 'small', consider surrounding it with a large white border in the source image.
