What kind of image files can I submit?

What file formats can I not use?
The Flaming Fire Illustrated Bible can't handle application-specific
formats, such as:
- Adobe Photoshop (PSD) files
- GIMP (XCF) files
- Adobe Illustrator files
- Macromedia Flash files
What happens to the images?
All images are converted to standard formats (PNG or JPEG). Large images
are reduced to a maximum size of 800x600. This is done to keep bandwidth
and storage costs down, as well as for ease of browsing. We will try to
retain your original image file for our archives, though, so
higher-resolution scans are always appreciated.
What's the best resolution to use?
Any high-resolution image is fine. We like to have source images at
approximately 300dpi for possible print use. If you need your illustration
to look 'small', consider surrounding it with a large white border in
the source image.
But of course, the real world provides the best resolution of all. We
encourage artists to send physical copies of their illustrations to us
